Is Nigeria surrendering responsibilities to Foreigners?

Bankole Adefolaju

Africa is doomed! What is going on? Has something, some god, suddenly decided to get rid of this unthinking race called African? What sort of people are making decisions which continually display a level of ignorance and stupidity unbelievable even in the 18th century to ridicule and expose its citizens to a treatment only the Romans of the 1st Century AD noted for their barbarism and cruelty are capable of, Even animal lovers would not dare to expose their pets, let alone their servants to such degradation. Where else in the world, which race on this planet would be inviting a race hater to come and discover its secretes and technologies because the advisers are so thick to think of the ramifications of such a decision? Nigeria is the only place in the world where its Governments would fail to make use of her intellectual properties but allow other races and Governments to carry them over to improve their own infrastructure and services forgetting these intellectuals drained the state‘s resources to acquire the skills they are giving away to other states for nothing.

Part of the African dilemma is the lack of comprehension of the bases for decision processes and why a country like Nigeria with a population close on 130 million people has failed to be able to run even a simple airways, a railway system, a transport system, water supply system, electricity supply system or a police system despite the billions of dollars flowing into the coffers of the authority there which should be directed at the immediate needs of the country: Roads, railways, knowledge, structures, materials processing, health, etc. Our hospitals are devoid of doctors and nurses, our universities, our research institutions, our security services, and hundreds of other state apparatus are left to rot while our enemies drain the country of its materials and human resources (intellectual properties) for menial jobs as street cleaning in the Caucasian cities across the world. Amidst all these, an African Government has, allegedly, decided to hand over the security of our hard-earned independence to the enemy who occupied our continent for 500 years and stripped our resources to develop their continent and people.

Our failure on that continent is a consequence of occupation: loss of our intellectual properties, failing to carry out research and discoveries, failure to devote our resources to materials processes, failure to acknowledge the fact that development is the inculcation of an understanding that man is his own boss and we need to create our own man-made world by processing our resources to make the world to our taste which is security, building structures - roads for land transport, steel for construction, engines for road and water transport. The effectiveness of the police and other security services depend on our capacity to make the materials we need by ourselves as making things generate income and remove the temptation to defraud and open the masses to corrupt practices.

How will the present Government explain to the future generations that in the 21st century, after nearly 70 years of independence, an African Government decided to hand back our country to our enemies with the consequences of shaming every African on this planet?

It must not happen. It is degrading, it is denigrating. It is stupid and irresponsible. Is there nobody in the Government to remind the people making such a decision, if it is true, that many Africans including Nigerians are killed almost weekly in the British police custody?

Nigerians must say NO to this hearsay which I like to believe is not true. Do not hand over our security to our enemies.

Are Africans not aware of what has happened to Iraqis in the past four years? Americans have killed more than 300,000 of them, their country have been reduced to a beggar state, structures and thousand years of antiquities expropriated, their oil has been stolen or in the process of being stolen, more than 4 million Iraqis, if, they are lucky, have been forced out of their country and now spread across the Middle East as refuges. Is Bush now using the British to carry out its intention to take over non-Caucasian races to reinforce their grip on the world institutions and resources?

Africa says NO to a Nigerian government alleged proposal to hand back our nearly 70 years’ independence.
