A MAGNIFICENT VICE-CHANCELLOR OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF

TECHNOLOGY, MINNA - PROF. TUKUR SA'AD

By Engr. Ibrahim MANTA
Peace be upon those who believe in righteous guidance of almighty
God, and to the best of my knowledge Prof. Tukur Sa’ad the vice
chancellor Federal University of Technology Minna is one
of them.
I never thought of that person, that could come within this shortest
time as the head of this noble Institution to break the record of
the University’s First Vice Chancellor Professor Jonathan Ndagi,
especially with the way corruption has eaten deep into the Nigerian
System. I never thought there could be that person that could ignore
the ideology of the non-progressive majority to that of the
progressive minority in a fraudulent society like this. However, I
am not unaware of few Nigerians,
very few indeed, that have
developmental love for Nigeria, but sincerely not expecting it in a
Vice Chancellor who came to rotten university with virtually nothing
tangible left to recon with; situated
in a different geo-political
zone other than his as could be perceived by the unpatriotic
Nigerians,
and to have the love of inspiring the University to the
greatest height as if it was his personal enterprise.
I wish on behalf of our entire alumna to express our gratitude to
almighty God for given the leadership of the University to him, and
we thank him for given the University a new and highest status ever.
The infrastructural development are immeasurable, social, medical,
and educational amenities within the university has tremendously
improved, human resources especially resource personnel has been
federally characterized with esteem integrity since his inception,
cultism in Federal University of Technology Minna has become the
thing of the past, exam malpractice within students and even
lecturers has been drastically dealt with.
Sincerely, the assessment of the first generation graduates of this
small but great University from all works of life is making the
University proud, I am pretty sure without bias that the present
generation who are presently enjoying your reforms will make the
university more proud than their immediate predecessors.
I wish I could change the minds of so many Nigerians to be like his,
I wish I could change the vision of so many Nigerians to be like
his, I wish I could change the selfishness of so many Nigerians and
replace it with the developmental believes of his. Honestly, I wish
I could steal his visionary knowledge to make them permanently mine,
but alas!
I am proud of him and his positive reforms to the university just
like any meaningful, responsible and progressive Nigerian will.
I wish him God guidance, protection and the very best in life.
May almighty God in his infinite mercy and glory bless Nigeria ,
amen.
